  • Relevance:

Key element of the urea cycle converting L-arginine to urea and L-ornithine, which is further metabolized into metabolites proline and polyamides that drive collagen synthesis and bioenergetic pathways critical for cell proliferation, respectively; the urea cycle takes place primarily in the liver and, to a lesser extent, in the kidneys.Curated Functions in L-arginine homeostasis in nonhepatic tissues characterized by the competition between nitric oxide synthase (NOS) and arginase for the available intracellular substrate arginine. Arginine metabolism is a critical regulator of innate and adaptive immune responses. Involved in an antimicrobial effector pathway in polymorphonuclear granulocytes (PMN) . Upon PMN cell death is liberated from the phagolysosome and depletes arginine in the microenvironment leading to suppressed T cell and natural killer (NK) cell proliferation and cytokine secretion (PubMed:15546957, PubMed:16709924, PubMed:19380772) . In group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) promotes acute type 2 inflammation in the lung and is involved in optimal ILC2 proliferation but not survival (By similarity) . In humans, the immunological role in the monocytic/macrophage/dendritic cell (DC) lineage is unsure.

1Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human ARG1 at 2 μg/mL can bind Anti-ARG1 recombinant antibody (CSB-RA002005MA1HU) . The EC50 is 2.291-3.018 ng/mL. 2ARG1 Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody (CSB-RA002005MA1HU) captured on Protein A Chip can bind Recombinant Human ARG1 with an affinity constant of 0.918 nM as detected by MetaSPR Assay (WeSPRTM 200) .

  • Form:

    Lyophilized powder

  • Buffer:

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm sterile filtered PBS, 6% Trehalose, pH 7.4

  • Reconstitution:

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
